Athletics Pentathlon 2025

On Tuesday 20 May Barrow Hills held it’s annual Athletics Pentathlon and we are delighted to share that we came 3rd overall out of 6 schools (Aldro – 1st, Amesbury – 2nd).

Athletes compete in 5 events each and see how many points they amass overall: 800m, 70m hurdles, long jump, ball throw, 150m.

The break down for the 6 age groups we entered is as follows:

Girls:

U9A girls 1st, U11A girls 2nd, U13A girls 4th

Boys:

U9A boys 5th, U11A boys 3rd and U13A boys 3rd

Individually there were 30 children competing in each age group and medals were awarded to the top three athletes for each group:

Nuala H- 3rd U9 girls

James H – 2nd U11 boys

Hermione B – 3rd U11 girls
