Bryanston Netball Tournament

On Wednesday 21st January we entered the U11 Netball Tournament at Bryanston School in Dorset. Originally there were 25 teams entered but sadly the non stop rain forced Bryanston to pull 12 school names out of a hat to play an indoor tournament. Lucky Barrow Hills grabbed one of the 12 spots!

We played 5 schools in the first round of the tournament and I am delighted to report that the girls won 4 out of the 5 matches. This placed us in 2nd place in our draw and we faced Millfield from the other half of the tournament in the play off for 3rd/4th overall.

Fortunately our girls played sensational netball, fantastic movement from our centre court players and incredible defending from both Honeysuckle and Ellie meant we beat Millfield 4-2 to achieve 3rd overall out of 12 schools. Jessica, our 5ft5″ goal shooter, was our secret weapon as not many under 11 girls can jump high enough to defend a ball being thrown into her. We hope she continues to grow taller for our netball team’s success!
