Spinning Into Action - Scottish Country Dancing

Our Year 1 and 2 students have been spinning into action lately as they explore the wonderful world of Scottish Country Dancing.

The Year 2s have already mastered the energy and timing of the classic “Strip the Willow,” and they looked fantastic practising their turns! Over the coming weeks, the children will be expanding their repertoire to include:

• The Gay Gordons: A lively Highland favorite
• Traditional English Maypole Dancing: A beautiful celebration of rhythm and patterns

We are so proud of their progress and are already making plans to showcase these dances during our Summer Proms. Stay tuned for more details – we can’t wait for you to see them in action!
