Kindy Improve Their Fine Motor Skills
Oursounds of the week has been a revision of ‘h’, ’n’ and ‘f’, and our book of the week has been The Elves and the Shoemaker. What a fabulous story to end the term with! The Elves and the Shoemaker involves so many aspects of PSHE and learning. The elves kindness, the fine motor skills involved in making shoes, good deeds, measuring shoes sizes, rewarding and thanking people.
The lEves and the Shoemaker demonstrate excellent fine motor skills as they carefully design and sew beautiful shoes and boots. Inspired by this, the children have been making the most of their fine motor activities in Kindy, including using tweezers, threading pom poms into tubes and whisks, shaping playdough, and practising threading and buttoning.
Congratulations to all the children for singing and dancing so enthusiastically in The Spring Showcase, it was wonderful to watch them all on stage. Well done Kindy!
A huge thank you to everyone for helping your children decorate their amazing Easter hats – they looked so colourful and they were all so unique. The children were very proud to wear them in their Easter Bonnet Parade!
Wishing you all an enjoyable and restful Easter holiday.
