Reception's Obstacle Course

The children have been making the most of the warmer weather by spending lots of time out in the garden. This week, they worked together to create a fantastic obstacle course, showing great enthusiasm and teamwork throughout.

There were lots of opportunities for discussion as the children shared their ideas, listened to one another, and took turns to contribute. They demonstrated excellent collaboration skills, thinking carefully about how to design the course and how to make sure it was safe for everyone to use.

This has been a wonderful way to support the children’s gross motor skills and physical development, as they climbed, balanced, and moved in different ways. The children also enjoyed testing out their creation, deciding on the best route, and making changes where needed.

It has been lovely to see them revisit their project each day, building on their ideas and continuing to develop it together. Well done Reception!
