Outdoor Maths in Year 1

We took advantage of the beautiful Spring weather to take our Maths outside this week.

The children are learning to estimate numbers on a number line to 50, so armed with big sticks of chalk, we headed up to the hard court. They drew various different number lines with their chalk, such as 20 to 40, learnt how to find the midpoint, and how to estimate various different numbers on the number lines.
