Junk Modelling with Kindy

The Kindy children have managed to fit in a great deal despite it being a four day week.

The Book of the Week was ‘Bright Stanley’ and the The Sound of the Week was ‘j’. To advance our numeracy skills, we focused on number recognition and patterns on a dice.

The children have loved the opportunity to create boats by junk modelling with a variety of boxes. They were inspired by shipwrecks, in particular, The Titanic.  It was fantastic to see the detail in their designs. Some children added funnels, gangplanks and even propellers!
