Year 5 Astronomers
Our Year 5 astronomers have truly reached for the stars this term! As part of their recent Space unit, the students channeled their inner NASA engineers to produce a series of models that showcased both scientific curiosity and immense creativity, from the rust-coloured, dusty plains of Mars to Saturn where the rings all glow.
The depth of research was particularly impressive, with students creating everything from our familiar Solar System and the dwarf planet Makemake, to the scorching temperatures of Venus. Some even looked beyond our neighborhood to the deep blue exoplanet HD 189733b. Proving that innovation knows no bounds, we even saw some digital architecture with a highly detailed Minecraft Planet. We are incredibly proud of the hard work and “stellar” imagination Year 5 brought to this mission!
