Surrey Drama Festival

Congratulations to Charlie (5R), who achieved outstanding success at his very first drama festival — The Surrey Festival of Musical Theatre and Drama. Competing as the only newcomer and the only boy in his categories, Charlie won a Gold Medal in the Junior Dramatic Sight Reading category and, as a result, was awarded The Eric Searles Award.

He was also just one point away from a Bronze in the Dramatic Solo category — an incredible achievement for a debut performance. While the Eric Searles Award will be formally presented at a special ceremony in the autumn, Charlie already holds his well-earned medal and certificate.
