Set within a beautiful woodland environment, we provide space for free thinking, growth, achievement, and wellbeing. For over 75 years, we have fostered a culture where every child feels happy, nurtured, and valued.
We believe in laying a strong foundation for a lifelong love of learning through our ambitious curriculum.
In our small, dynamic classes, we create tailored academic challenges, ensuring that every child feels supported and inspired. An exceptional co-curricular program adds depth, enrichment, and joy to their educational journey.
The best way to feel what life is like at Barrow Hills is to join us at an Open Morning. We warmly invite you to experience the magic of our school where our children flourish academically, socially and emotionally. A great opportunity to talk to our children and teachers about what makes our school such a special place.

Year 8 Cycle to the Sea! 🚴♀️🌊
On one of their final days at Barrow Hills, our Year 8 children took on an epic 60km cycle challenge along the Shipwright’s Way - from Alice Holt Forest to the southern end of Hayling Island.
They tackled everything from forest tracks and rivers to busy roads and sandy paths, showing brilliant resilience, teamwork and joy throughout. Best of all? Not a single plaster needed - an impressive feat after 60km!

In recent weeks our Year 1 and Year 2 children extended both their literacy skills and their kindness by creating cards and writing beautiful letters inviting residents from local care homes to join our Grandparents’ day celebrations. We were delighted to welcome guests from Bramshott Grange Residential Home in Liphook to enjoy an afternoon tea along with some expressive singing, beautifully performed by our Pre-Pre children.
Community, kindness and having a positive social impact is at the very heart of our education at Barrow Hills. We are actively working towards attaining the ‘Social Impact Schools Award’ which will not only help to highlight the wonderful things our pupils are already doing, but also inspire us develop even more ideas to continue to make a real difference.

🌳🎒 FREE-RANGE ADVENTURERS 🎒🌳 As one of our end-of-term adventures, our intrepid Year 8 were dropped at an unknown location with just a map and a compass. Their challenge? To work out where they were and navigate back to school - avoiding roads!
Split into two groups, both walked around 13km, showing fantastic teamwork, problem-solving, and spatial awareness along the way. They paddled in Frensham Ponds, met soldiers on Hankley Common, and even chose to eat lunch on the move to try and be the first group back!
Year 8, you were brilliant - and we’re glad the teachers just about kept up with your pace!

Earlier last term, Year 1 enjoyed a fantastic day at The Tilford Rural Life Centre, packed with hands-on learning and discovery.
Dressed in Victorian clothes, they experienced life in a traditional schoolroom, tried their hand at washing clothes the old-fashioned way, and explored everything from Romany caravans to vintage fire engines.
Their curiosity, enthusiasm and excellent behaviour made it a real pleasure to take them - true Barrow Hills spirit in action.
