Porridgies in Year 1

As part of our ‘Islands and Coastlines’ topic, we have been exploring the fictional island of Struay from the ‘Katie Morag’ stories. One story on island life featured a recipe for ‘porridgies’ – or flapjacks – which the children were keen to make!

We carefully weighed, measured, melted and stirred, and the children produced some fabulous “porridgies” from the original recipe. Well done, Year 1!
