Reception's Busy Bee Week

This week our Book of the Week has been ‘Betsy Buglove Saves the Bees’, linking beautifully with World Bee Day on Wednesday. Throughout the week, the children have been learning lots of exciting bee facts, thinking carefully about how we can help to protect bees, and creating some lovely bee-themed crafts. They have certainly been very busy bees!

The children have shown such thoughtful and caring attitudes during our discussions about looking after the environment and protecting living things. They shared lots of positive ideas about how we can help bees, including planting flowers, being gentle with nature, and keeping our outdoor spaces clean and safe for wildlife.

Did you know a single bee can visit up to 5,000 flowers in just one day while collecting nectar and pollen!
