Aldro 8 School Athletics Competition

Barrow Hills boys and girls took part in an athletics competition hosted by Aldro at the Guildford Spectrum last Friday. The 400m track looked enormous in comparison to the Barrow Hills track! We had children entering events such as triple jump and high jump for the first time, so very well done for giving it a go. The girls team came 4th overall (out of 8 schools). The boys team finished 7th overall. A few stand out performances from the afternoon came from:

Lottie – 1st in U9 girls 150m, 2nd in U9 girls 600m

Honeysuckle – 1st in U11 girls 100m, 1st in U11 girls 200m, 1st in U11 girls long jump

Emily – 1st in U11 girls javelin

Sophie – 1st in U11 girls 1200m, 2nd in U11 girls hurdles

Poppy – 2nd in U11 girls 600m

Hermione – 1st in U13 girls 800m, 1st in U13 girls 200m

Toby – 2nd in U11 boys javelin

James H – 2nd in U13 boys 1500m
