Fin-tastic Creations with Kindy

It was lovely to welcome the Kindy children back after a glorious sunny half-term week and we have enjoyed listening to all their news and hearing about their travels and adventures. As we begin our final half term in Kindy, the children continue to be busy bees, learning through play and developing the skills they need as they prepare for their transition to Reception. This week, our sound of the week was ‘w’, our book of the week was ‘The Odd Fish’, and our maths focus was exploring the concepts of “more” and “less”.

The Kindy children have been particularly enthusiastic about cutting and sticking activities, and they have shown considerable progress in both their fine motor skills and their ability to concentrate. We have also enjoyed a creative cut-and-stick activity using paper plates to make ocean scenes – the children were incredibly proud of their finished creations and loved sharing them with their friends and teachers.

Have a lovely weekend,
The Kindy Team
