Forest School and RSPB Big Schools' Birdwatch
This week we have taken part in the RSPB Big Schools’ Birdwatch.
After weeks spent learning to identify different types of birds and putting food out for them, we finally got to sit back, watch and count them. We spotted a few robins, several wood pigeons, a magpie, a couple of starlings, a handful of tits and the odd blackbird. There was also an unconfirmed sighting of a vulture, by children in reception class!
All week we have been listening to the hammering sound of the woodpecker from our playground, but unfortunately we didn’t see one!
