I was truly impressed by all the children and their wonderfully creative and colorful sock choices—it was a joy to see such individuality and spirit on display. In a gentle moment of reflection, this morning our pupils came together for a special Service of Remembrance to honour the sacrifice and service of those who have defended our freedoms and our way of life.
Our children had made and carefully placed dozens of poppies in memory of those who lost their lives in defending ours. The Bridewell Choir was in fine voice, and we appreciated excellent readings from some of our choristers and our Head Girl. We couldn’t have been more proud of the respect and thoughtfulness shown by each and every one of our children today.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them.’
