‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ in Reception

This week the Reception children have been exploring the concept of height through activities relating to the story of ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’.

They have made their own 3D castles using sponges, card and cotton wool to make the clouds.

The children have made different-sized ‘beanstalks’ out of cubes and compared and ordered them by height. They then planted their own beanstalks and will be measuring them avidly as they grow.
