Our Year 1 children have been enjoying reading Nick Butterworth’s wonderful series of books about Percy the Park Keeper!
The children have been learning how to sequence a story and they have written ‘One Springy Day’ in their own words. They used picture prompts to help them recall and sequence the story. Mrs Reed and I were so impressed with their wonderful writing. They remembered some amazing details and many of the children asked for extra time to do some more writing!
The children used their SPAG lesson knowledge to remember to use capital letters and full stops in the correct places.
