On Friday 17th September, children in Year 3 and Year 4 took part in their first cross country race for Barrow Hills. Seaford cross-country is notorious for a very steep hill at the start. This year the course was altered and moved to a flatter location and whilst the children in Year 3 and 4 know no better, any child who has raced there before will be distraught they were not so lucky!
Nine schools participated in the 1km long course with at least 45 runners in each race. Below are the results for top 10 finishers in the four races:
U8 Girls: (1st overall in the team competition)
Hermione (3G) 3rd
Esme (3R) 5th
Florence (3R) 8th
U8 Boys:
James (3G) 8th
U9 Girls:
Bea (4G) 3rd
Laura (4G) 5th
Phoebe (4G) 7th
Very well done to all 27 children who ran for Barrow Hills.
