The Christmas Nativity was quite different this year but, I hope you’ll agree when you see the video, just as spectacular with all Pre-Prep children putting in one hundred percent effort and enthusiasm. Get ready for an extravaganza of bells, tinsel, camel heads, glorious singing and jazz hands! We had great fun filming it last Thursday. It was a long morning for the children but, in true professional style, all of Pre-Prep maintained enthusiasm and concentration throughout.
I was so impressed with Nursery and Kindy who sang with gusto in the unusual setting (for many, this was one of the first times they had been in the Chapel). Reception sang absolutely beautifully and have been a complete joy to teach this year; clearly they are destined for great things! Year 1 shone and twinkled in their ‘Star Song’ and included their signature dance move at the end of their piece. Year 2 looked resplendent in their Nativity garb and sang, as always, spectacularly in all four of their songs.
A huge thank you to all the Pre-Prep staff for their help, especially Mrs Crisell who did a lot of the organisation and decoration. What you won’t see in the video, aside from Mrs Wilson dressed as a Christmas Tree, is the Pre-Prep staff silently leaping about in the background encouraging the children to sing loudly and clearly. We were all sad not to be able to do a live nativity this year but we hope you will enjoy this virtual performance. There is no doubt the children put just as much, if not more, effort and enthusiasm into their singing and performing as they would have done for any live event. A huge round of applause to them all!
