Pot Holes and Ice

We have made the Highways Agency aware of the large potholes at the Petworth Road end of Roke Lane. They have inspected them and have told us that they will be filled in the next seven days.

The water which has been freezing and causing problems on our exit lane and Roke Lane has been investigated and found to be groundwater due to a high water table in the area. Our maintenance team have been salting it every morning to make it safe. The flow has almost depleted but we will continue to assess every morning until it has stopped or the water is no longer freezing.
