Half Term Design a Bookmark Competition – Whole School
Design a bookmark with the theme ‘Mystery/Detective Stories’
Hand your completed bookmark to your form teacher after half term.
The winning book mark will be printed professionally for everyone to enjoy.
Book Fair – Whole School – Thursday 23rd February
The Book Fair will take place the week before World Book Week. Carole from Primary books will be bringing a wide variety of books and will give the school a 20% money back to buy new books for the library.
Years 3-8 will have the opportunity to visit the fair during the school day for a shopping event. Parents in Years 3-8 can either send money with their child to school in a named wallet or attend in person. Children in Nursery/Kindy and Pre-Prep are very welcome to visit the book fair during drop off and pick up.The fair will accept cash or card.
Primary books have advised that new paperbacks are normally £7.99.
The fair is open to all from 8.00am – 4.30pm in the ballet studio.
Donate a book to our library – Whole School
Mrs Dudley is looking for new books to widen the book provision in our libraries.

We will put your childs name on a book plate, email jed@barrowhills.org with the book name/child’s name after purchase.
Pre-order for our visiting author books – Reception to Year 4 only
Lucy will be presenting her latest book “Our Family” but you can pre-order any of her published books by following this link. Lucy will sign all the pre-ordered books.
World Book Dress up Day – Thursday 2nd March
The popular book dress up day returns. Dress up as any book character and have your photo taken for the library display board.
