PhD FRGS; Senior Lecturer in Human Geography and Geopolitics at Royal Holloway, University of London, Department of Geography: Regional specialisms in the British Overseas Territories, South Atlantic (Falkland Islands, Argentina, Chile) and South Asia (India, Pakistan and Afghanistan), as well as working extensively in the US, Canada and the UK. In 2013 served as an accredited observer of the Falklands Islands referendum. In 2015 awarded the Thesiger-Oman Fellowship by the Royal Geographical Society. Appears frequently in the UK and international media on issues related to global geopolitics.
