Welcome to the Barrow Hills Bulletin, your weekly newsletter with a snapshot of life at School.
Message From the Head
Dear Parents,
We enjoyed a cracking bonfire and fireworks display last Friday – lots of smiles, sparkles and over £765 raised for the Parents’ Association. Many thanks to the key parent volunteers and staff who helped with the setup and tidy-up; it was well worth the effort.
Prep and Upper parent consultations rolled through this week, and the rain didn’t stop us from enjoying a range of football and hockey fixtures.
Our Remembrance Service on Tuesday was notable for the quality of reading from Year 8 and a truly moving performance from the choir.
We have also been reflecting on our culture of kindness and respect through Anti-Bullying Week and our Odd Socks fundraiser today, supporting national awareness. We’re proud to enjoy a community where 100% of our children told the recent school inspectors that they feel safe at school. The children don’t put up with any nonsense at Barrow Hills – they moderate themselves brilliantly (well, most of the time!).
As the saying goes, “It takes a village to raise a child,” so let’s keep our community close and strong.
Mr Towers, Head
