A Week in the Life of Year 2
This week, Year 2 have been getting creative with words in preparation for National Poetry Week! With magical music playing and fairy lights twinkling, the children wrote some truly imaginative poems around the theme of ‘play’.
Sticks turned into wizard wands, trees became whirling helicopters, treehouses launched into space as rockets, and conkers transformed into glittering pirate treasure!
We had a wonderful time sharing our poems in class — some poets even had the chance to read theirs aloud around the fire during Forest School, which proved to be the perfect setting for stories full of adventure and imagination. We look forward to hearing more next week!
Well done to all our brilliant Year 2 poets!
