A Hedgehog-Inspired Week of Discovery and Creativity in Reception

This week in Reception, we have been learning all about hedgehogs. Our book of the week was Hedgehog Howdedo by Lynley Dodd, and the children have been fascinated by some of the amazing facts they discovered using non-fiction books and websites.
Did you know that hedgehogs are excellent swimmers? Or that they have between 5,000 and 6,000 spines?

The children have been getting creative throughout the week, making their own hedgehogs using a variety of materials. They look wonderful on display, nestled alongside the autumn pumpkins the children made last week.

It has been a wonderful week full of learning, creativity, and fun!
