Vikings Take Over Year 3!

Year 3 enjoyed an exciting Viking Workshop where they explored who the Vikings were, where they came from, and how they lived.

They learned about Viking raids, settlements, and daily life, asking questions like “Why did the Vikings travel?” and “What were Viking homes like?”

The children also discovered Viking runes, using the ancient alphabet to write their names and decode messages.

In the afternoon, they used soft pastels to create detailed drawings of Viking-inspired artefacts such as shields, helmets, and tools, focusing on texture and shape. The morning was a fantastic mix of history, art, and curiosity!
