James Cordy-Redden OBH 2006

“One of my highlights at Barrow Hills was the rugby tour to Holland, led by Mr Gartland. I still have the woolly hat we got for the trip! Although we weren’t the strongest in England, we definitely were in Holland. We won our tournament and I’m sure the coaches and parents had a great time over the weekend.

After Barrow Hills, I played rugby for Cranleigh School, Surrey U16, Surrey U18, University of West of England, and two years at Cross Keys RFC in the Welsh Premiership. I was picked for the university Olympiad in Kazan, Russia, for Great Britain and won a bronze medal in rugby sevens. My England sevens rugby shirt is on the middle floor above Reception currently.

After I graduated from university, I signed for the England sevens for one year. I then moved back to 15s and signed for Ealing Trailfinders in the Championship. I have won the championship twice, the British and Irish cup once, and the championship cup twice. Since I started, I have played over 100 professional games.”
