Reception have enjoyed an incredible feast of firsts this week! Initially being invited to share the Pre-Prep garden alongside their friends in Years 1 and 2. Then, to have the very grown up invitation to attend Pre-Prep Birthday Assembly. Wide eyed as they entered Chapel, each sitting calm and still, firstly listening to Mrs Harris read a lovely story and then garden rules were discussed.
Wet play does not deter our Reception children. They move around their shared areas, industriously getting involved in creating cafes, arts and crafts in the Techo House, wobbling across the logs and spinning fabulous twirls on the ‘big’ climbing frame. Delving into the sandpit, wielding spades and trowels they build amazing objects. How amazing to see them all enjoying being welcomed by the other Pre-Prep children.
Miss John organised an incredible spur of the moment birthday disco for us to enjoy. Wow!
Mrs Reid’s and my heart are fit to burst this week in admiration of them all! Barrow Hills is certainly preparing us for greater things.
Mrs R M Harris will be so proud!
