Year 1 loved the activities during ‘Be Amazing!’ week.
They wrote about themselves and they praised each other for their talents. They designed their own superhero and made a mask to reflect their character.
“Well done Year 1, I have really enjoyed reading your work and seen the super photos of you in your masks.”
This week the children have learnt about Mary Anning the fossil girl and have also started the topic of ‘forces’ in science with an investigation in their home. They have decorated their own Victorian jewellery box and have started to learn about mass and picture graphs in maths.
In English, they have become familiar with some new Set 3 sounds and are working hard on their imaginative writing and punctuation. This week they focused on exclamation marks.
“Well done to all of Year 1 for their splendid effort and enthusiasm this week. Thank you also to the parents for their patience and support.”
