Year 1 has made a really fantastic start to remote learning this term. I am so impressed with their enthusiasm and I can’t believe how hard they have all worked in just three days!
A massive thank you to all the parents for their support too.
The children have started their castles topic by learning about motte and bailey castles. They have made a motte and bailey castle for outdoor classroom and designed their own castle using different coloured 2D shapes (photos to follow next week). They have started investigating materials for science. They have worked very hard to write their own subtraction stories and count back using a number line. I have received lovely letters from the children about their Easter holiday and I am so impressed with the development of their cursive writing and the content of their letters. A special well done to James for his ‘maths factor’ certificate!
I am sending a huge virtual round of applause to all the Year 1 children and another thank you to all the parents. What an exciting week!
