Fancy Dress Parade and Book Fair
From Monday 28th February to Friday 4th March, Barrow Hills School will be celebrating World Book Week with a series of events and activities across the whole school, but more on that later…
The key message today is to give you all fair warning to start planning your costumes; on Friday 4th March, the whole school is invited to come in dressed as their favourite book character. This can be any character, from any book – ideally a real book, not a film-only character – so you may want to get planning during your half term holiday.
Mrs Buirski will be taking individual photos of everyone who is dressed up so that we can re-create the very popular, giant 2021 display of photos in the library! There will be prizes in each class for the best costume.
The ever popular Usborne Book Sale will also be back on Friday 4th March. The stall will be open from 8.00-8.45am, and again from 3.00-4.45pm in the dance studio. Every one of your purchases accrues money towards more free books for the school, and this year we will be focussing our free book selection on the areas of history, well-being and great new fiction.
