It has been another busy week for the Reception children, at School and at home. They have continued to make great strides with their reading and writing; and enjoyed their PE, French and music lessons.
They have been exploring shape in maths and have had great fun hunting around their environment for 3D shapes (with one enormous sphere being triumphantly located in the form of an exercise ball!) and making 3D minibeasts. They have made a range of different 2D shapes outside with sticks; and had fun tessellating shapes to form patterns.
The children have listened to a range of different stories, and created artwork inspired by the literature, from weaving a paper ‘magic carpet’ like the one flown by Granny in ‘My Granny Went to Market’ to shiny hanging fish mobiles in homage to ‘Tiddler’.
Well done Reception – we are so excited to see all your lovely learning and all that you are achieving!
