This week, Year 7 children have been busy studying atoms, elements, molecules, compounds and mixtures within chemistry.
They began by learning all about elements of the periodic table and quickly moved on to how atoms are made up of subatomic particles. Having grasped this concept with ease, I set a challenge for children to create some atoms of their very own at home.
From Lego, to modelling clay and even cookies, a number of atoms were created utilising a vast array of materials with great success!
