Last Friday, Year 3 had an amazing afternoon re-enacting Beowulf in the Forest School woods with Mr Dean, further enriching their history topic ‘The Anglo-Saxons’.
Mrs Peek raided the dressing up cupboard and everyone donned an item of clothing to get into character. Swords, shields and flags were added and the children were ready to step back in time!
As Mr Dean told the famous tale, the children became key characters and were totally engrossed in the story as they acted out the key events. Music was added for effect and everyone thoroughly enjoyed taking part.
Thank you Mr Dean and Mrs Peek for such a super afternoon!
