Our wonderful BHCC, supported by our egg-cellent sports department, arranged an Easter Bunny Run for all our children, from Nursery to Year 8. We were delighted to see so many parents come along to join in too.
Our youngest bunnies completed a run/walk/skip around a one mile course – some doing two laps – before enjoying a delicious hot chocolate, snack and an Easter egg from the BHCC at the finish. In the afternoon, it was the turn of our Prep children who ran the two miles from King Edward’s back to Barrow Hills. They too were met with a snack and a hot chocolate and their Easter egg gift from the BHCC.
Bea (8G) and Conrad (8G), were egg-cellent hares, particularly as they had both donned fluffy onesies and it was a very warm day!
In the morning, Vasco (1G) was awarded the prize for best effort, having completed two circuits of the course. In the afternoon, the honour went to Seb (8G), who in Year 5 had come towards the back of the field in the cross country and a few short years later came in the top 12. Well done to you both! The Todd family won the delicious Easter Chococo Hamper and Mrs Parker was awarded a special prize for being such a good egg and helping any stray bunnies she found on the course.
Thank you BHCC and our sports department, it was a super event!
