What a fabulous family day at Barrow Hills last Saturday! Children from all age groups gave their all in the triathlon, expertly run, as always by the sports department. Then it was on to the children’s classrooms and a chat with their teachers (always a proud moment!). It is always enjoyable to see this side of your child’s life at Barrow Hills and another piece of the jigsaw.
The BBQ, run by the BHCC and kind helpers, was a busy occasion, a superb turnout, we even ran out of wine! I blame it on the sunshine!
We raised £503.02 from voluntary donations which was very generous of you all. The total will be put into the BHCC fund for the greater good of the children at Barrow Hills.
Mr Shreeve’s bric-a-brac stall also raised over £120 for the Pirrie Hall in Brook, so thanks to every one who bought an item or two.
In my humble opinion these events just show how lucky we all are to have such a vibrant Barrow Hills community.
