This week Kindy@Home and Kindy@School have completed amazing work, albeit in different ways. Some children swapped their kitchen table for their own desk in the Kindy garden and we were thrilled to welcome them back. The children have embraced all the new procedures and taken all the changes in their stride.
It has been a delight to see them zooming round the garden on bikes giggling and shrieking. We have been exploring bees and butterflies and learning about nectar and pollen and the importance of insects in pollination. Did you know there are 270 different types of bee? And the ones with the big, fluffy bottoms are bumblebees!
The sound of the week was q and the number was 9. In French, Kindy sang songs about les couleurs. Mrs Hardy taught the children a lullaby and Mrs Burnett set them sports challenges in PE. Mrs Reed isn’t sure that she will be earning her gold badge anytime soon!
Captain Hostler sent another super video; a fantastic tour of the Air Ambulance helicopter. The children enjoyed sharing their knowledge on how the helicopter would help people who had been hurt in an accident and then take them to hospital.
Wherever our children have been learning this week, they have shown us their curiosity, their adaptability and resilience, and above all their joy. Kindy you are amazing!
