Another key book award, both for adults and for children, is the Costa Book Award. Below is the shortlist from this year’s Children’s Costa Award, all of which are highly recommended reads, but the winner this year is ‘Voyage of the Sparrowhawk’ by Natasha Farrant. Finally, I just wanted to remind you about this is a basic ‘book finder’ link that allows you and your children to enter an age range, choose a genre and then the website will produce suggested ideas for their next read.
