On Wednesday 2nd March, our U11 boys hockey team travelled to Rugby School to play in the IAPS U11 Hockey National Finals. They won their first group game 1-0 against Bromsgrove School. They won their second game 1-0 against Great Walstead School and then beat Cheltenham College Prep in an impressive 3-0 win. They then went on to beat Langley Prep 1-0 and finished with a 1-1 draw against Sherborne Prep.
Winning four out of five games put our boys at top of their group and through to the Cup competition. The boys played Old Buckenham Hall in the quarter finals and went 1-0 up. However, Old Buckenham Hall came back into the game with two late goals knocking us out in the final seconds of the match.
Barrow Hills finished 5th out of 24 of the best schools in the country.
This is an amazing achievement and the whole school is extremely proud, well done!
