In Year 5 and 6 DT lessons this half of term, the children were set a task that would test their design and invention skills. They were asked to design and build a boat made from materials that they had at home.
The boat had to hold one of their school shoes or sports trainers!
In this project Mr Conway wanted to see if the children could think like an engineer – to not only design, build and test their inventions but also look to improve on early stages of their designs.
Our key worker children had fun testing their boats!
