During last week’s Monday assembly Jonah, in Year 8, spoke about refugees and how he wanted to help them. As we head into winter, a lot of refugees are going to struggle without warm clothes.
Following an appeal to our families and staff, we collected 21 bags of warm winter coats to send to the refugees arriving in this country. These will be donated to ‘Care4Calais‘ who will make sure they get to refugees in need.
Thank you to Jonah for his compassion in highlighting this to us all, to the Year 8 children for sorting and packing and to Mrs Hardy’s choir group who moved all the coats into the Refectory.
