When Year 5 were in isolation this week, they were lucky enough to receive hockey skills videos from not just one, but two England hockey players.
Barrow Hills is extremely lucky to have an international hockey player in our midst this year! Our GAP student, Lucy was a member of the Under 16, 18 and 21 England Squads. She represented England’s Under 16 team against Belgium, Germany and Four Nations champions, Holland, at the high performance centres of Lilleshall National Academy and Bisham Abbey. Lucy currently plays for Wimbledon Hockey Club in the Premier Women’s Investec League and coaches and mentors the juniors at Guildford Hockey Club.
Lucy’s good friend, Tess Howard, plays for the Senior GB Women’s hockey team and hopes to be picked to compete at the Olympic Games next year in Tokyo 2021. Tess plays Premiership Club hockey for East Grinstead and is in her final year at Durham University studying geography.
Anyone who wants extra hockey skills practise can do this at home.
