A very exciting discovery took place in the Pre-Prep woods last week; spotted by our eagle eyed adventurer, Ellie in Year 1. It’s a huge platform nest!
Platform nests are built mostly by raptors (birds that eat prey, like eagles and hawks) and they take months to build. Red Kites have been seen flying overhead near the woods by the children and a bird of prey was spotted flying over the games field recently. I’ll keep you updated if we see anything in the nest.
