This morning, Mr Hatcher led a very informative assembly on fire safety, with particular emphasis on the importance of smoke alarms. Mr Hatcher is an ‘on call firefighter’ which means he may be called to help the fire service when he is not working at Barrow Hills. Lucy, our GAP student, modelled the protective clothing he has to wear for this role.
There may be a few children coming home today asking if their parents can help them check the house smoke alarms!
