On Tuesday 11th February, Pre-Prep took part in their spring term theme day ‘Travelling to France and back in a day’. The children began the day discussing France and exploring famous places and traditions. The children all worked in mixed groups to take part in a range of exciting activities; dancing, art, singing and food tasting. They learnt about the cancan dance and memorised a simple routine. The enthusiasm from Mrs Crisell, and the children of course, was brilliant to watch!
In their French session they learnt a song and had the chance to eat delicious crêpes with fillings including cream, fruit and chocolate sauce – using French vocabulary to ask for these. The food tasting was a particular favourite! They explored the different land marks in France and created their very own Eiffel Tower using straws. It was fantastic as always to see the older and younger children working together as a team.
