On Monday, girls from Years 3 – 6 took part in the Guildford High School cross-country competition, with 12 competing schools and 80 runners in each race. The course was incredibly quick with runners sprinting the majority of the race. Years 3 and 4 ran a distance of 1km and Years 5 and 6 had a 1.6km course with one gradual hill. I was incredibly proud to see how hard all of our girls pushed themselves.
Overall the following girls finished in the top 10 for their age groups:
Year 3 – Hermione (3G) 5th
Year 4 – Laura (4R) 2nd
Year 5 – Eliza (5G) 4th
Year 6 – Eloise (6R) 10th
Our Year 6 team finished 3rd overall out of 12 schools.
