Last week in the orchard we learnt the story of ‘How the apple got its star!’ A story about the sad apple tree who longed to touch the stars high up in the night sky, and the kind ‘star fairy’ who put a star deep within every apple on its branches. I cut an apple in half and showed the children the star inside!
Early Years used the halved apples to do some apple printing. Reception class used their prints to create a beautiful classroom display.
KS1 painted an apple tree using watercolours and then stood round in a circle, showing their work and saying something nice about someone else’s painting.
