King Edward’s Witley will be using Lichess.org for a chess tournament this weekend. You can create an account (children may need some help setting these up), King Edward’s will receive a link that will be sent to Mr Andrade to forward.
The duration of the tournament is 1 hour. It will start at 10am on Saturday 5th December and the time control is 10 minutes with no time increment per move.
Points allocation:
A win has a base score of 2 points, a draw 1 point, and a loss is worth 0 points. If two games are won consecutively, the participant will start a double point streak and the following games will continue to be worth double points until failure to win a game. There is no number or age limitation.
The winner with the most points at the end of the match will win the overall tournament.
I am also very happy to inform you that the overall winner will be presented with a prize, sent by post after the event.
