Platinum Jubilee celebrations are in full swing this week in Kindy. The children have been learning about the Queen and her life, and reading picture books to give them a greater understanding of why the country will be celebrating the Queen’s reign next week. Also our sound of the week was ‘q’ so this tied in perfectly!
Over the week the children have been making crowns and Union Jack flags, playing with royal puppets and exploring red, white and blue gloop. Of course no Jubilee celebrations could be complete without a picnic, so the children made their own sandwiches and then enjoyed a wonderful snack time with their friends.
